A small studio created by two former college roommates

Atelier Zhen is a small studio created by two women who used to be college roommates.

We used to spend our weekends visiting small shops, making things by hand, and collecting small objects we liked — stones, glass, ceramics, pearls, and materials with soft colors and quiet textures. We were never only interested in jewelry, but in small objects that could live with us in everyday life.

We didn’t begin by trying to build a brand. At first, we were simply making pieces for ourselves, and sometimes for friends. Over time, people began asking us where these pieces were from. That was how Atelier Zhen slowly began — not as a big plan, but as something that grew naturally.

Today, our studio still works in a similar way. One of us is often drawn to materials — the color of a stone, the surface of a ceramic bead, the way glass holds light. The other is always thinking about light, photographs, and how these small pieces exist in everyday spaces.

We never wanted Atelier Zhen to feel like a big brand. We want it to feel like something a friend gave you, or something you found by accident and kept for a long time.

Our pieces are not made for special occasions. They are made for ordinary days, to be worn quietly, again and again.
